How this love calculator works
Most love calculators add up the letters in two names, so the answer is random. This one places the Moon of each person at their birth moment and runs the same eight-part match an astrologer uses for marriage. We then group the eight parts into four areas you can understand: friendship, attraction, long-term harmony and shared fortune.
Birth time is optional, but the Moon moves about 13° a day, so adding it makes the score exact. For a full marriage match with Manglik check, use Kundli Matching.
Is a low love score bad?
No. It shows where you will need more effort. Many happy couples score below 50%. Look at which area is low, and ask the AI what it means for your two charts.
Can I use it for a crush or a friend?
Yes. You only need both birth dates. The result is private and is not saved unless you are signed in.
Why the Moon sign matters most
In Indian astrology your rashi is the sign the Moon was in when you were born. It shapes your mind and feelings, and daily horoscopes, Sade Sati and marriage matching are all read from it.
The Moon changes sign about every two and a half days, so your birth time matters if you were born near a change. The result tells you if that applies to you.
What is my rashi name letter?
Each quarter of a birth star has a sound. The result shows the sound for your exact quarter, used when choosing a name.
Is the Moon sign the same as the Sun sign?
No. The Sun sign follows your birthday, the Moon sign follows the Moon's position at your birth hour.
Why your Sun sign can differ
Magazine horoscopes use the Western (tropical) zodiac, tied to the seasons. Indian astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, tied to the stars. The two are now about 24° apart, so for most people the Vedic Sun sign is one sign earlier.
In Indian astrology the Moon sign matters more for daily life, so check your Moon sign too.
Which Sun sign is correct?
Both are correct in their own system. Use the Western one for Western horoscopes and the Vedic one for Indian astrology.
Do I need my birth time?
Only if you were born on a day when the Sun changed sign. The calculator tells you when that is the case.
What the rising sign shows
The ascendant is the starting point of the whole birth chart. It shapes your body, personality and how others see you, and it decides which planet rules each area of life.
The rising sign changes about every two hours, so an exact birth time is needed. If your time is uncertain, the AI can work with a number-based question chart instead.
My birth time is only approximate. Can I still use this?
Yes. The result warns you when your rising sign is close to changing, so you know if a few minutes would make a difference.
Is rising sign the same as lagna?
Yes. Lagna is the Indian name for the rising sign. This calculator uses the sidereal zodiac used in Indian astrology.
What a nakshatra is
The sky is divided into 27 birth stars of 13°20′ each. The one holding your Moon is your nakshatra. It sets the order of your planetary periods for life, and it is used for naming, matching and choosing good dates.
Each nakshatra has four quarters (padas), and each quarter has its own sound for the first letter of a name.
Why does my nakshatra decide my dasha?
The ruling planet of your birth star starts your first planetary period, and the rest follow in a fixed order.
Is my nakshatra good or bad?
No birth star is bad. Each has strengths. A few are treated with care for certain ceremonies, which the result mentions.
How planetary periods work
Your life runs through nine planetary periods in a fixed order, from 6 to 20 years each. Each main period is split into nine sub-periods. Events happen when the period planets connect to the matching area of your chart.
This calculator gives the dates. To know what a coming period will bring for marriage, career or money, ask the AI.
Why do different sites show slightly different dates?
Small differences in the Moon's position or year length move the dates by days. We use a precise Moon position and the 365.25-day year.
Is a Saturn or Rahu period always bad?
No. It depends on where those planets sit in your chart. Many people rise in these periods.
What Mangal dosha means
A chart is called Manglik when Mars sits in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th or 12th house. It is said to bring heat into married life. It is very common: roughly four in ten charts have it from at least one point.
Many charts have exceptions that cancel or soften it, and it is matched away when both partners have it. Never decide a marriage on this point alone.
Can a Manglik marry a non-Manglik?
Often yes, especially when the dosha is mild or cancelled. Check both charts together in Kundli Matching.
Does Mangal dosha end at 28?
That is a popular belief, not a rule from the classical texts. What matters is the strength of Mars in your chart.
What Sade Sati is
Sade Sati is the time Saturn spends in the sign before your Moon sign, in it, and in the sign after it: about seven and a half years. It comes about every 30 years and asks for patience, hard work and discipline.
Dhaiya (small panoti) is the 2½ years when Saturn passes the 4th or 8th sign from your Moon. How hard either feels depends on your own chart.
Is Sade Sati always difficult?
No. For some charts it brings promotion, property or a settled life. It depends on how Saturn is placed in your chart.
What can I do during Sade Sati?
Keep routines, work honestly, serve elders and people in need, and avoid shortcuts. Ask the AI for remedies that suit your chart.
What the karakas are
In Jaimini astrology the seven planets are ranked by how far they have travelled through their signs. The planet with the highest degree is your Atmakaraka, the soul's main lesson. The one with the lowest degree is your Darakaraka, which describes your spouse.
The sign of your Atmakaraka in the ninth division chart (Karakamsha) adds more detail. A correct birth time matters, because the Moon's degree changes quickly.
Why 7 karakas and not 8?
We use the seven-planet scheme, the one most astrologers use. Rahu is left out.
Does the Darakaraka tell me who I will marry?
It describes the nature of a partner, not a name or a face. Marriage timing comes from your planetary periods.
